Default Vig ratings, anyone who knows the actual stall; come inside.

I'm looking for a 4000 stall. I've been reading that the Vig's are rated under their actual stall. I'm afraid of getting a 4000 for the fact that it might really be a 4400 or so. Does anyone know if there is any truth behind all this? Do I just need to order a 3600 to get up to 4000? Thanks.

I have an early one in my car (3200) and on Yanks old website comparasson chart said it actually stalled at 3800 - seems about right on my car, generally from reading posts add +400. Give them a call...

or you could go my route.. Ordered a 3400 Vig put it in today and it's only stalling 2500! I would MAKE sure you explain yourself properly about the desired stall you want, I will let you know how I make out come Monday, I am not very happy being almost 1000 off.. definately a quality piece but this aint cuttin it..

My vig3200 would flash at 3600 with a few bolt ons and at 3800 after cam/lt's/tune.

I feel it's probably the best street converter available.

Your not going to be able to stall up to the rated rpm stall on the footbrake. To get the full stall out of a converter you need a transbrake or you can come close by flashing it.
