Default I did the stupidest thing.

I put the shifter to neutral and revved the car waited for a sec or 2 and put in on D on accident. The car well bucked because I had the brakes on. I didn't feel/see anything wrong on the car except my head thinking I fucked something or did I? Then I did it again today while driving except I was rolling so the car chirped. So did I pretty much my A4? My mind is still stuck thinking I'm still driving a stick so my hand wants to put the shifter on neutral every now and then. I've only done this twice which was last week and today.

Good one Bene .....believe me, you'll know if something's wrong. If you want to know what a f'd up 4L60 feels like, drive my car. Just don't go far . It gets worse everyday .

Yeah, tell me about it. I can't believe it myself. If I do get this A4 , I know I'm going to put it a built 4L60E w/ stall not by me but by a pro. Its either performabuilt or FLT, I'm tired of not having a car downshift whenever I want to.

I guess its not a one time killer. I have a friend who regularly drives his 07 Z71 in reverse and then throws it in D. Sometimes it dies, sometimes it spins the tires. I want to I would never do that. He views it as GM's problem........not his. He says, well i got a 100k warranty and 5 yrs. to tear it up, wonder if i can.

He will probablyfail if hes trying to blow tear it up that only happens when you dont want or cant afford for it to ,
Had a freid back early 80s had a 305 in his camaro wanted and 350 his dad said that one will have to do you till it dies then we will see , He took a stick and wedged between the gas and the seat and let it free rev for over and hour it sputtered and skipped and everything else while reving and sounded like crap but when he finally gave up it still was just fine lol

lol, dont feel bad. I put a totaly differant trans into my truck and that required manual shifting even though it was an auto. I drove it for the weekend and kept forgetting to put it into lower gear. FInally my brain said "hey, d***head, drop it into frist manually!!". Wll, when I got into my other truck (which is a twin, seperated by 3 years, by the way) I was manualy shifting all over the place and could not stop for 4 days!

Well, I am sure it was not good for the trans, but, i am also sure you are okay.
