Default Rock-On Tranny just crapped out. WTF?

4 months old and ~800 miles with only 4 track passes. Track passes was all motor and only 1 bottle of 100 shot (on street),W.S. cuttin N20 off at 6300 and shifting at 6600... So, not spraying thrue the shifts. And this was their stage IV ~$2000 tranny as well. So, im pretty pissed off right now!!

1st and 2nd, no problem. Hits 3rd and rpm's just shoot up and no go any faster.... So, thats tells me that 3rd/4th clutch packs took a ****. If I give it more gas in 3rd, it does try to grab, but then just lets go.. What do yall think?? Reminds me of when my stock tranny went out. Has plenty of fluid, prolly need to change it but dont think it would help.. Any ideas? Does Rock-On still have a phone #? Tranny still is under warranty and I still have their box to ship it as well... Any info on these fuys would be great..

I have heard conflickting stories about them being out of business/John's (think that was his name) in the hospital, etc... Last thing I head is that they are not a sponsor anymore.

I know there's someone here with a line in their signature stating that Rock-On ignores his calls.

Can those few parts that broke be replaced at a minimal cost? I wouldn't think you would need a whole new transmission.

According to the BBB they are out of business. I have had one of their units apart that was sold as a level 5 and was not. I do know that they were having issues towards the end and this unit was not even close to what they advertised. This customer was very unhappy when we reported what we found. He chose to order a FLT level5 with a billet output shaft. If you would like to have your unit gone through please give us a call. Vince

i would be on a head hunting mission if they actually don't put the parts in there that they advertised.

here is what i found. not sure if anyone will answer

dave@rock-ontransmissions.com
techsupport@rock-ontransmissions.com

(940) 482-7243
(940) 594-8064

hope that helps and someone will actually honor the warranty on it.

the guys name that owns was dave. he screwed me over in my last car i had.
i went through 2 of them. had to pay both times. because the pump broke because he said i installed the convertor wrong. now im an ase certified tech at a gm dealer and drove it for 2 months so tell me how was the convertor instaled wrong. dave was a total *** yelling and cusing at me. the second time it went out i wasnt paing freight 2 again so i took it apart my self. let me tell you it only cost him maybe 400 in parts that was in that tranny. the only thin it had worth anything in it was a trans go vaccum modulation kit, other that that it was basicly crap. all i have to say is what comes around goes around. im sure hes having his day after riping people off. i put him in the same cattagory as fuddle convertors. just my 2 cents and i hope dave or his son reads this

How much will you charge to do that and fix whats broke? I would assume 3/4 clutchpacks are toast.

I am currently learning how to build trannies. I am doing mine 1st, if it turns out good, and I can get a supplier for parts....... look for me to do this on the side as a sponsor.
