this is on a 94 lt1 car. The trans starts in first (with 'D' selected), goes thru the gears, then it stays in 3rd. Even after a stop or by using the throttle, it won't kick down. It will still go into 2nd manually, but not 1st. If you shut the car off, put it in drive, and start it back up, you get 1st again.

I think it's the electronic controls rather than the thans itself, but I haven't been able to find out what kind of voltages should be coming from those wires. Looked online, and checked the helms. Any help would be great. thanks

have tou scanned for codes that is limp mode

there are a couple of codes; 84 i believe and / or codes for both of the front wheel speed sensors. would this cause the car to go into limp mode and not shift normally? tia

code 84 is a 3-2 shift solenoid , i would look there
