I believe transgo has a kit for that , I would give them a call or perhaps PBA or FLT may be able to help you with a kit to do that since the use vacuum mods and stuff. I have looked over kits instructions to do that it didn't look very difficult If you don't mind shifting manually all the time, We haven't done any like that but then presently we dont sell 4l80e transmissions but I'm sure one of them should be able to help you.

basically its an auto that you shift manually. Basically, the trans shifts as fast as you do. You can hold a gear as long as you want, etc.
I ike the idea since i find auto's a bit boring after a while... maybe manually shifting it would get annoying as well from time to time... but, thats just me!
Yank, so you have a kit to swap this over? I have the trans out of the car still, im also waiting on a 4l80e converter that i ordered but the stall hasn't been decided so i still dont have it. Also, you retain the lockup feature... lockup switch?

I have had 2 transmissions that were manual only, one t-350 and one glide. I loved it. I did not find it annoying and it gave me a bit more control of my shifting. I think personal preference has a lot to do with it though.
