DIY 4L60E Rebuild?

Anybody have any resources for teaching yourself how to rebuild an A4? Luckily I don't need one yet, but I'm wondering how hard it would be to learn.

GM service manual from a dealership lays it out step by step. GM wants them rebuilt inhouse even though 99% are sent out for repair/rebuild at a specialty shop.

You can get and ATSG manual for your trans at any transmission parts supply house , Also hanyes makes auto trans rebuild manuals also
