PG Driveshaft Length
I've been running a stock driveshaft on my 98 Formula with a Th400 and I'm switching to a powerglide that is 27 9/16 overall length. Can my new driveshaft length be figured from this? I want to order my driveshaft before I get my powerglide. Does anyone know what length I need?
Thanks

The 400 has several different lengths just depends which one you have.
If you have the shortest one which is 28 3/8 the shaft will have to be shortend. The next one measures 33 27/32, hopefully you don't have that one then you have to buy a new shaft.
I would wait and do a measurement after it's installed. (Safe Side)
Also depends if you are upgrading your yoke with something bigger then the stock ones. I know when I get my P/G I'm waiting to order the drive shaft after the P/G is installed. I'm also going to use 1350's front and rear as well.
What you don't want to happen is the yoke to get shoved into the rear housing.
