Default Performabuilt lvl 2 going in

I recieved my lvl 2 Performabuilt 4l60e trans and verter last week and it is going in this week. I will keep you guys posted on how it goes.

Frank was a good guy to work with and the turn around from the time I paid for it and when I recieved it was nice and fast.

Hopefully it will hold up for me in the future. 425rwhp NA about 520rwhp on N20.

I told the shop no synthetic ATF. They are ordering a new stock shifter for my car since it has long been lost.

Conleys Performance is doing the work.

That's the same route I plan on taking in the winter. What size verter did you get? I'm assuming you plan on doing more street driving than at the track cause you went with the 4l60e vs the TH350 or TH400?

Excellent. Did you go with the Performabuilt converter?
I have been very impressed with the amount of support that Performabuilt provides to this board. Keep us posted.

Thanks Frank.

Yes it is a Performabuilt 4000 stall.

My car had a TH350 manual valve body in it but that is no fun on the highway and in stop and go traffic... so I am changing back over to 4l60e. The TH350 setup did haul *** at the track.

Good to hear, I'm doing the same exact route making about the same power, maybe a little more by then. I also have concluded to go w/ a Lvl 2 and a 4000 stall. Will order in March once spring gets closer for me.

Can't wait to hear your full report.

Performabuilt, your presence on this board and helpfullness to members is basically what is swaying me to give you guys a shot. I can't wait to get a built tranny from you guys and give it some hell

Why not decrease the shock and use our layaway plan its free and by the time you need it you can have it paid and use the big bucks for something else , Just and Idea

I typically don't like layaways and the car's in storage so I'm not even concerned with it just yet. Plus company profit sharing is paying for this one, so i'll have to give you payment in one lump sum . Unless of course your going to be charging more in March?

I would do the layaway for the fact that you can lock in the price.. You never know they may decode to rasie prices when you are ready to buy.

The only possible changes may be and increase due to a change we are working on with shipping containers, We have had some difficulties with our existing ones and with ups seems they think the container should be able to protect a piece of aluminum against a 5-10 foot drop on a conveir or off a truck and be unharmed , So we are looking into better containers which may result in a price increase in the not to distant future of 40 to 100 dollars.Though it hasn't been a severe problem UPS dosent want to pay the claims on them and even though we send the customer a new one right out its painfull to take a loss like that even at 2 or 3 a month which isnt bad for the amount we ship but eats into the margin which with what we put into these is not real high. So we are waiting to here back from several packaging companies now Then what if any amount of increase will be determined but of course it will not affect layaways as they are fixed in price.

We have no problem with synth ATF we have customers running both. Though personally I have not noticed any difference in performance or durability between the two
