Default Will a Transgo 4L60E-HD2 Kit work?

From searching this should work well with my 04 GTO? Just confirming before pulling the trigger. Thanks!

Reccomend any installers in VA...avg cost? It's 5hrs for me to drive to you. Will I be just fine one the lowest setting? Don't wanna go too crazy...still a daily driver.

Yes as previously stated the HD-2 will install just fine in your GTO.

One thing though, in order to properly install it the transmission should be disasembled as there are several internal updates that are designed to improve the durability at high rpm's. I highly recommend you have those mods done as well.

Well there are springs included in the kit are designed to replace the piston return springs at the 3/4 clutches, the piston inside the reverse input drum gets drilled and an exhaust orifice installed are two examples.

Certainly there are several changes in the valve body and different springs for the accumulators but remember this is a "reprogramming" kit. It was designed to increase the overall performance of the unit, not just a few shift changes.
