Default I really did it this time (PICS)

At first I thought it was the input shaft that busted it actually was the output shaft.

That is and unusual break usually there are a number of other parts that would break before that one most of the times what were you doing when it broke?

Interesting! I have seen a SS Silverado with an STS turbo break an output shaft in the exact same place. Of course it's all-wheel-drive and much heavier than an F-body.

The car is pretty much stock with very simple bolt-ons everything on my car is in my sig. I was at a stop light and slowly took off from the light went to WOT when car shifted into second it hit the limiter and sounded like the rearend went at least that's what I thought at first. Took it to a friends house who's a GM mechanic and got it in the air found out it was the trans and ripped it out and took it to work with him since he has all the tools there to rip it apart. So low and behold it is trashed now I am trying just to get back together because it is a daily driver. My buddy is tracking down some stuff and he will let me know tonight whats going on.

I find it hard to believe myself. I thought for sure it was the rearend when it happened.
