Default 4L60E input shaft end play ?

Just how critical is the end play spec I have .012-.013 and thats derived by pulling up on the shaft by hand since I don't have the tool to check it

Yaa mine didn't feel like it had any but the dial indicator said different ,the manual is calling for .015 to .036 so I drove up to Transtar and got a #68 selective washer and now I'm good I've got .016-.018
