Default Rattling sound help... happens in nuetral and park

My car is not running good at all, it is missing pretty bad, and there is a rattling sound coming from the TC or tranny area I think. the sound happens in drive but not nearly as much as when the car is in park or neutral. When idling in hte driveway I can literally put it in drive and make the sound go away and when I put it in N or P it comes right back. Any idea?
