Default Which Lokar DS tube for Stock 4l60e car??

i am tired of messing with the stock tube, so I want to get a flexable tube. I noticed some people are getting the Lokar 24" DS tubes. Is this still what I need to get? Where are you getting it from? Also I noticed that some people were having trouble with tube not seating into the transmission like they should......................................some were also having trouble knowing when the fluid level is correct?................................Help me out on this one, my stock tube is bent up too much to use again

thanks

well, 36" sounds more reasonable. you can surely make that work somehow. it's the dipstick that would have to be modified I'd guess

I think it is the tube and the dipstick together

Get the 36" from summit or jegs. I have one, no problem with it, I feel your pain with that pos stock dip stick. I've fought with the bolt that goes on the rear of the head for hours.

i've put the bolt on the back of the head in with a stubby 15mm closed end wrench, from the top of the car. it's not too difficult

I never had probs with the bolt until i bent the DS tube when I put the trans back in this last time. I got the angle off a little bit and It would not fit in to the case like it should. That was the worst part of the transmission install....................Is anyone having probs finding the correct fill level with the Lokar.............Also, does it fit into the trans case without any probs?

thanks

thanks everyone, just ordered a 36" for the 4l60e from summit. This should make it a little easier to pull the tranny from now on.
