Those of you using an aftermarket shifter and 6 speed console. Did you have to drill a new hole for the cable to route through? I bought a complete setup swap from a guy and can't get ahold of him to figure out if I'm just mounting it wrong or if I need to drill a new hole.

If you dont drill a new hole for the cable and use the old hole the shifter will sit too far back so then it will not sit in the center for the 6 speed center console to work.
