Default Sonnax servo ?

I'm installing my servo and I've shaved the pin down to get the .100 play but it says to check it by turning the output shaft and see if the input drum turns, my drum barely turns with the servo out and stops turning when the cover is just to the retaining ring groove. So should I make the pin the same length as the origanal to be safe or am I ok with it as is?

A rule of thumb is once the snap ring is in, you need to be able to turn the output shaft in both directions. If it will only turn one way it's to tight. The way that turns the reverse input drum will be harder to turn. Don't be alarmed. Vince

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong here but it doesn't matter if the servo is in or out the output shaft will only turn one direction

You might have to use a yoke or a pair of channel locks to turn it. You didn't have the pump out for any reason did you? The reason I ask is I wondering if for some reason the band is bound up the reverse input drum. Vince

Ok now I get it I just installed it with the stock pin and with a little more effort I can turn it in the opposite direction thus turning the drum ...I wasn't scared I knew you'd back me up ...you da man LOL thanks for the support and the great service with the parts... I just wish this thing was closer to being done so I could run it but oh well I will let you know how I make out when I get to that point..Thanks again
