Default ?'s on building up stock tranny

i just bought a 3600 stall oil cooler. i am also going to be installing all basic bolt ons with a 228 to 236 cam. i was wondering since the tranny was going to be out what can i do to make the tranny stronger. i want to to last about a year. i dont drive the car hard or go to the track often but when i go i do not want the tranny taking a crap on me.
thanks

i bought the TCI rebuild kit from Jegs for $215. took it and the tranny to my tranny builder, let him build it up for $400. he also put in a hardened sunshell ($60) while he had it down. i put about 5000 hard miles on that tranny with a 4000 stall, then sold it to a buddy and its still running strong today.
