Trans Shifting Earily Please Read And Help Asap
OK WITH MY STOCK TRANNY AND REAR EVERYTHING WAS WORKING FINE
THEN THE SHOP INSTALLS A DANA 60 AND FLT LEV 4 TRANNY WITH VAC MOD... NOW
EVERYTHING SEEMS GOOD BUT THE CAR SHIFTS AT 4500 RPMS ... IF YOU PUT THE SELECTOR IN FIRST YOU CAN WIND OUT THE GEAR AND YOU CAN MAUNALLY SHIFT THE GEARS AT ANY RPMS BUT WHEN LEFT IN DRIVE THE CAR JUST SHIFTS AT 4500 FOR EVERY GEAR.....
THE SPEEDO SEEMS TO BE READING FINE AND NO CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE PCM SINCE THE SWAP EVERYTHING SEEMS GOOD
MY ONLY PROBS ARE FROM ANY SPEED, EVEN FROM A DIG THE RPMS WONT GO OVER 4500.. YOU CAN TELL THAT WHEN YOU HIT THE GASS THE STALL FLASHES TO ABOUT 4000 ISH AND THEN ONLY 500 RPMS LATER THE ****** SHIFTS
ALSO WHEN CRUSING YOU SLAM ON THE THROTTLE FROM A ROLL AND THE CAR WONT DOWN SHIFT.. THE CONVERTER WILL UNLOCK BUT IT WONT DROP GEARS....

Shifting is supposed to be PCM controlled and I guess your
options are it's not being listened to, it's not commanding
or it's being lied to about TPS or MPH. TPS you can check
with a voltmeter. MPH and commanded actions you want
the scan tool. From there on out it's sparks and then
hydraulics. Suppose there's no chance the wrong kind of
VSS is on that new trans?
