Default 4l60e + 420rwhp = ???

Hey guys,
I was wondering if a stock 4l60e with a cooler would hold up to 420 rwhp for a while if I was just doing some 30-70 blasts or 0-60 blasts every now and then on the street.

agreed its kinda hit and miss and depends on the general condition of the transmission

it only has 38k miles on it right now and has never had over 325rwhp put through it

My car had 21,000 and when Chuck at FLT took it apart it showed wear, mainly clutches but imo the stock trans is marginal for a stock Ls1.

Mine started hurting at the 425 rwhp level. When i jumped to 500 rwhp then it died within days.

dont count on it... better at least get a shift kit and some servos to go with that cooler... it wont make it bulletproof but it will survive a little longer most likely

Mine has been rock solid 150 passes on the old setup 475rwhp plus the occassional spray......I doubt it will last thru the new build up though.

i'm runnin bolt on's, 3400 stall and a 125 shot through mine but it's had a cooler and a shift kit before the stall or spray but as long as i turn the juice off before it shifts i'm fine.....and on just bolt ons it's perfect. kinda hard to say tho......

Mine, got my heads and cam done. Did 2 WOT pass's on the highway for tuning and it let go on the 2nd run...
Got a stage 4 from ROCK ON transmission and that let go after 5 or so track pass's and ~800 miles on it with 2 bottles of spray on the street..
Now, FLT has it and is re-doing it and upgrading it to a stage V for me!!!
Gettin sick of pullin tranny's!
