Will a 97 4l60e fit in my 96 are thier any differences?

96 and 97 should interchange. Are the out of the same kind of car ?

The 97 is out of a trans am my 96 is a caprice (daily driver)

Should swap no problem , they should both be K case and nearly identical

The tail housing will need to be swapped. It might be a good idea to get a new tail housing bushing and seal as well. Vince
