Default A 3200 stall or LT Headers + ORY ? HELP!

I have a 00 Z28 A4 with a catback and lid. Thinking about whether to get some LTs and a ORY or a 3200 stall ? What do you guys think and why? I dont want to get both because I can only afford one. I would if I could though. Thanks!

Stall. I would go bigger than the 3200 for many reasons. First, i went with lt's and ory before my stall. i hate to say it but it was a wast of money. The weakest part of the a4 is the stall. You will see more gains out of that than with the lt's and ory. You wont be putting down any more hp but your car will be alive. You can stay in your power band, resulting in no "dead" spot. Sure my car sounded great, but what the hell was the point, it didnt move..Now that I have my stall I love my car. I want a vette and if i get an a4 the FIRST thing im doing is a stall. If its the only thing you do, get a stall. but again, bigger than 3200. My stall is 4400 and it could be dd everyday. If your nervous about the "driveability" dont be. Or get a 4200+. But for a N/A dd car I would go AT LEAST 4000. For a n20 dd car I would still say 4000.

so you have DD with a yank 4400 stall? I was planning on a yank PT 4000 stall and thought that might be too high for DD duty?

Either one would be a big improvement, but I'm with Blue2000 on this one. If you want the most improvement for the money, get the stall. Pick up some power with those headers after you figure out how to get traction with the stall!

I did headers first in my 98 i enjoyed it, but when i did the stall i wished i had done the upgrades different. My buddy at the time had a 93 stang that was built way more than my 98. the headers made some difference but he hated the stall. He couldnt out shift it. it made it real hard for him to out run me. once i did the cam he couldnt touch me and i only went with a 3200 stall.

Thanks bros. Looks like I will be looking at a 4000+ stall. Is tuning needed after a stall install?

Yes, your going to need your shift points readjusted, torque mangment off, and i think there might be one or two more things..but I could be wrong

Have fun with the big converter..they are a lot of fun. Also if you do EVER decide to get some gears, your bigger converter will love you more, but they are not a must. I just went with a 4400 and 3:73's so when I get my cam it will run pretty good. But when my rear goes boom, then the 12 bolt is going to have 4:10+
