Default 6l80e in 4th Gen

Anyone know if anyone is/has tried this yet. I think a 2.73 geared car would benefit quite a bit from this trans. A huge increase in the first 4 gears but still have a decent overdrive in your last 2 gears. I know this trans is in the new trucks, and its only time before someone tries it. My dad has a 06 c6 with it and i must say im pretty fond of it. I have heard it holds up damn well too. So whats up?

There are onboard computers on the A6 that we don't know how to control yet.

Ditto

These new units have control modules INSIDE the transmission
which communicate with the pcm to determine shift characteristics.
They are not going to be "swap-able" any time soon.

What is the torque capacity of this transmission?

40Ft/LBS

J/K Doesn't the '80' mean 800Ft/LBs in first gear?
So torque*1st gear ratio should be less than 800ft/lbs in order for the tranny to last...

Better than the 4L60E from what I understand. Not that a wad of rubber bands and twigs cant do better than the 4L60 though.
