Sorry, no offense or smart assness meant. I have never called them so I don't know how hard it is to get through. It was just one of those questions that seem best to be answered from the source.
At any rate its always cool that no matter what, SOMEONE has done it with these cars so there's always somebody to chime in.

if you bought it new and have had is since, then call them. 1 free restall if your still the original owner. Plus when they do open it up, they'll let you know if anything has to be replaced and either hook you up or help you out.

I had Yank restall my LT1 converter down (from a ST3500 to a SY3000). Soooooo much better now, it's not crazy loose and annoying any more. It wasn't free, it wasn't cheap, but it beat buying a new converter, and/or the loss I'd take on selling it and buying a new one.

No they don't do them for free. There are other options, you don't have to send it to Yank for a re-stall. I sent mine to a shop that a lot of racers use here in Fl. and it came back perfect. Guy said it flash to 3600 and pick up mph on nitrous, explained everything he was going to do to the converter. According to efilive, the converter flashes to 3625 on motor and I picked up almost 2mph on spray. 60ft. went from 1.90 to 1.60, this was a Yank SS3200, cost me $125 for the re-stall. Dealing with that shop was probably the best aftermarket automotive exp. I've had in 10+ yrs. of hotrodding.
