lockup mph?
At what mph does a stock convertor lockup? Mine wont lockup until 45mph no matter how lightly I accelerate. It may be normal, but it sure gets annoying with my loud exhaust at speeds above 35. I thinks its in the tune because I never noticed it before, and was just wondering what mph I should get it set at. Any help is appreciated.

Well though it should Be fine it may cause lugging feeling around town and if it locks up before third gear shifs may feel very harsh and some say may wear the lockup clutch, Basically lower it and as long as the lockup still feels good you are probably fine

Doesn't sound like a good idea. How big is your cam? Does it like running at very low engine speeds under load?
I have a pretty large cam and my fourth gear lockup isn't till 45+ mph. If only driving around town you can put it into D (3rd) and it should lock up in third at a lower speed. Probably the 30-35 you are looking for.

The cam is pretty mild in my opinion (224/224 .581/.581 112), but you woundn't know by the high idle and poor cold start. I really regret getting the cam (got the tune at the same time) because it really cut down on the daily driver ease.

I don't recommend locking up below 35mph. 35mph is the stock unlock point and for good reason. Anything under 40mph in 4th gear lugs the motor too much and the car has no power. Lockup is also more harsh. It is much quicker and smoother at 45mph and the motor turns fine, which is where I will move my lockup point to.
Stock lockup MPH for a 3.23 A4 is 38mph in 4th gear. Tuning for 3rd gear lockup is different and 30mph is fine.

I use the same for mine on my 3.73's. my old 2.73 gear though I had 40mph lock 37 unlock in 3rd and I think 50/45 in 4th.

It's not enough, the motor is lugged down way too much. You really need more than 1100rpm's to accelerate around town so I'm bumping it up. Also lockup @ 45mph is 10x more positive and it just feels better than when it does it at 40.
