Default question

i got my tune on saturday from HPE, and i am very happy with it. the car seems a lot stronger. the only problem is that on the way home the car started shifting out of 1st gear really hard even when i would barley give it gas. once i got home i put in in park and when i put it back in drive it jerked forward really hard. later on i went for a drive and it drove normal. i thought it might have been a bad u-joint so we changed out the front one. it drove fine for a couple of hours but then started doing it again. i know that it probably doesnt have anything to do with the tune, but i was wondering if anybody might have an idea as to what is wrong.

Its a code that sets when the converter is comanded to lock and either dosent or slips excessivly this will cause max line and very hard shifts even at light throttle

Well first determine if that what it is, Hook up a scanner and watch the data stream and watch fo lockup then look at slip percentage . also note force motor current then post back up and we can go from there .

Possibly a bad or blocked screen on a PWM solenoid, A worn TCC regulator valve in the valve body . Though honestly since this started right after a tune , I would really look back at that , It may be coincidence but allways a good idea to look at anything that was alterned just before this occurred, Have them if they changed any return the tune back to stock first,

I always raise the line pressure just a tad, to give you that feel of a shift kit. And the pressure I set it to is the same pressure I've been using in A4's for years now... Never had one do this. So that is very strange. If you want to bring it by we certainly can hook the scanner up to it and try to see what's going on.
