Default turbo 400 in a 2000 LS1

got a 2000 Z28 and am looking at putting a TH400. whats all involved in doing that and is it worth it? will i have to change the spline? i might be able to buy a 375 transmission which i think is the same thing as a turbo 400 just with a spline that fits a 350... but i could really be off base here.
id really be gratefull in any insite on this.

All yo uhave to do is pick up jsut any Th400 whether it be new or used and it will work fine like it is, jsut make sure it ahs the long tailshaft (9"). Then you have to buy the crossmember from BMR with the torque arm relocation so it gets any stress off the back of the tranny. You will need a dip stick, the stock drive shaft will work as long as you get the long tail shaft, if you get a short one you will have to get one made.. Gotta get a torque converter that will work with the LS1 flexplate but made for the Th400. You will need to get a VSS sensor from rossler so you can get your speedo to work.

I think thats bout it. maybe

If you take the time to read through the sticky about TH400's then you should get all the info you need. It's 9 pages but has a ton of info on parts, part numbers, costs, ect.

Yes but a few bolts will not be used ont he bell housing. BUt other than that ya its pretty much a bolt in as long as you have all the conversion pieces. IT actually only cost me bout $500 for a Th350 complete swap after selling my 4LSHITTYE
