Fair Price for Transmission
What would be a fair price on a stock 4L60e with 136k on the clock, no bellhousing, no tailhousing, stock converter and a roasted 3-4 clutch pack?
I have someone interested in buying my old trans from me, and I am not really sure what to ask for it. I don't want to give it away, but it is broken. I was thinking in the neighborhood of like $500 or so because aren't new stockers like 1.5k ish? What do you guys think? Or would it be better to rebuild it myself then sell it?

ok... dont mean to hijack the thread but I have a 4L60e with bell housing but no tail shaft; its broken im not really sure whats wrong with it but only 1, 2 & some times 4 works. Also has a deep pan & street/strip transgo shift kit. Insted of going through the hassle of gettting it rebuilt I went ahead & ordered a stage 3 4L60E. What would be a good asking price for something like this?

I don't mean to sound like a dick but get the dollar signs out of your eyes and sell it for what you have in it. I'd be more likely to buy it as is than to buy it after you rebuilt it.
I parted out a '98 TA and made my money plus so I sold the 103,000 mile working 4L60E for $50 complete.
