Default Line Pressure for my App.

Im having many problems out of my 4l60e in my 2000 SS. The only mods i have are longtubes, off road H, grantelli maf, lid, ls6 intake and injectors, and a ported throttle body. The third gear clutches keep going out and this time i have added a cooler and the BTE 2 quart extra pan with cooling fins. The chevy dealership is rebuilding the tranny under warranty and i was wondering if anyone knows what the ideal line pressure would be for my application. The car has a brand new stock converter and is daily driven.

You need to make them put a gm unit in it, and stop ******* with your ****! The fact is, gm trans techs are trained to "fix" transmissions, not build them. I doubt that the person fixing your transmission even knows how automatic transmissions work.

But to answer your question, spiking in a forward gear should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 180 psi, and in reverse should be over 300 psi.
