Just got my yank 3200 what now?

Just got my yank 3200 what now? Well, my bolt on 99 T/a goes under the knife sat. and im getting cold feet at the last minute... just a couple of questions before i decide to complete this.
keep in mind this is my daily driver and i have 112k miles on her.
will i need a tune? is it a must?
with a good tranny cooler will my tranny go out in a month? (saw a thread on here that scared the crap outta me)
and i understand mpg goes down about 2or so correct?
