Default What trans is in my 93Z?? 700r4 or 4l60. How can I tell?

Alright, so I'm getting a little confused. I assumed the car had a 700r4 in it since it has a TV cable, but I've been told that I could be wrong. Do the 4l60 transmissions(not the E, the non electronic 93 version) also use a TV cable? I bought a trans filter from the local auto parts store, got the wrong filter the first time, brought in my old filter, and found that the 700r4 filter is what I needed?? What is the easiest way to tell exactly what I have before I buy the wrong transmission? Thanks for the help, sorry, transmissions are not my thing . Nick

A 4L60 and a 700R4 are for all purposes the same trans use the same filters etc. The differences are minor issues with the valve body and the presure switches. And the 4l60 has a just larger than a quarter electrical plug as oposed to the square one for the 700r4 . However if you tell the person what you have when you order year wise they will make sure you get the right plug im sure. But when your buying filters etc or pricing a trans particularly on our site its a 700r4 to avoid confusion,
