Default Lock up issues

Went to go get the car tuned today and everytime it would get into high gear and lock up it would come right back out. Any idea as to why it isnt staying locked up?

Well engine mos fire is the most common cause, And it may not set a code but sometimes it will make the engine light flash . Also note if it was a dyno tune the converter will not stay locked at WOT

It wasn't on the dyno that this was happening. This was just while we were out trying to get the driveability right. Also i forgot to mention sometimes when we put that car in gear it would slam in there, and then sometimes it would go just as if it were stock.

It sounds as if when this happens that you trans is going to a default mode. When this happens the trans will see high line pressure with the loss of lock up. Might want to check the computer for codes and see what it says. Then post back up what you find and hopefully we will be able to give you better advise. Vince

Got in the car today and everything seemed to be fine. Locked in third and in OD until the tranny got a little hotter and i noticed it did it once or twice where it would lock in OD then come right back out.
