Default TH350 leaking from vent

I was putting my motor in tonight and I noticed that there was fluid stain from the vent caused by a leak. I thought that I had a small pan leak before that and swapped gaskets. What would cause this problem?

If it isn't way over full, heat is generally the cause of that. Most likely being the converter.

I've got a 3400 Edge, do you think a bigger cooler might help? Other than that I have no issues. I've got a deeper pan already also...

If it is just a stain, you probably got it hot at one time or another. It is not uncommon to have a film or a stain like you have described near a vent. I probably would not worry about it. A cooler with a stall is always a good idea and the bigger the better if you have room. Vince
