Default steel or aluminum pan?

i am looking to get a new pan that comes with a drain bolt. i don't want anything too expensive. i only want it to have the same capacity as the stock pan as well. basically, i want a drain bolt for the tranny. is there a special pan that would be any different? would i need one that comes with a temperature bung or anything like that? i honestly don't know if there is any sensors attached to the pan or not? also, i guess it wouldn't matter if it was steel or aluminum? thanks

To get rid of heat, you want a cooler. Steel or aluminum,
same surface area, you're air limited in either case. I like
steel for toughness since I'm lowered. Truck pan used is
your best deal going, use the truck filter and you have a
lot more margin for slosh and short fluid.

Aluminum with fins would provide some additional air cooling, but takes up more space and is more suseptible to damage. Aluminum can also add some structural stiffness and even has some sound dampening properties (if that matters to you).
