Default Computer Tuned or Tranny Installed Shift Kit

How do you tell the difference. Cuz im about to buy a 99 trans am and it definately has firmer shifts. But can i figure out if its computer tuned to shift harder or if its an actual shift kit that was installed in the tranny. cuz ive had bad experience with a computer making the shifts firmer. ill still buy the car if it is, i just want to know ahead of time. thanks alot for the help. Dan

You can have a tuner hook up to it and look at line pressure. But even if line pressure is increased it dosen't mean it dosen't have a shift kit as well.
Or pull the pan and see if there is a shift kit, which dosen't mean the line pressure hasn't been adjusted.
Thats about the only way you can tell.

use the superior shift kit easy to install and it works....just install the small purple spring that goes in the forwar accumulator in the 1-2 accumulator with the big pink spring and you will have a hellish 1-2 shift....you can also put a cup plug in place of the #7 checkball and make 3rd snap shift
