I ran one in my 65 Mercury Comet (475rwhp). It was a great converter and built for my application.

Custom built is the only way to go IMO.

Edge hasn't quite made their way into the LS1 world. They are not junk, but I think there are better choices available today. I've had 7 different TCs in my SS since I started modding if that helps any.

Edge uses quality components, but I doubt they have a handle on the high ned lock-up clutch applications. Again, I'm just guessing.

If you aren't spraying a huge shot or knocking on the 10s door I think you will be pleased. They are not low end converters. I'd place them above Midwest, TCI and Hughes....but below Circle D, Yank and Pro Torque if that helps any.

IMO a converter is the best bang for the buck.

FWIW- I bought a brand new RCSB 2005 Silverado 5.3 w/3.73s for my wife and installed a converter in it before it had 1500 miles on it and she loves me for it. Ya can't always believe those women though

I have a buddy running in the 10's on his Edge converter. He loves it. It was in the car when he got it (car has a TH400 swap). He called Edge and they were even cool enough to put the warranty over into his name.

It's an LT1 but I have one and it's really good on the street. I haven't made it to the track for any times yet but I know I can cut a 1.4x 60' with it. I was cutting 1.50's with that shitty stall I used to have but I was losing MPH with it cuz it was slipping so bad. I would be tickled with a 1.3x 60' time!
