4L80E fittings to Tranny cooler Questions
I just recieved my Custom Griffin radiator and I had them make it without the provisions for a Tranny cooler. I am running a B&M External tranny cooler since I have a stalled 4L60E in the car right now.
Here is my questions
1st
Do I just run the Tranny lines from the tranny case (Hard lines) to the Tranny cooler and call it a day???
2nd
I assume the tranny cooler Fittings that work with my 4l60E will work with my 4L80E?? 1/4 I believe so I can run -4an braided line or has anyone tried the Twistlock lines to the tranny cooler??
This way when I swap the 4L80E its unplugg from the 4L60E and plug it back in for the 4L80E.
Thanks for any help
Ben

my 4l80 had the same clip in fittings that the 4l60 uses, so i started with the beginning of those and went to hard tube adapters to braided line, end up like this.
Also how is the flow to that cooler?? What temps does it stay at?
Thought about doing mine the same way but I didn't know if enough air would get to it, plus I figured It would be hard to mount, how is yours mounted?
BTW the same guy that built your tranny built mine, lol

mine is the 29000 one b&m 70274
considering it doesn't have an air dam or fan on it, i have yet to see it over 220 in any conditions, racing or street driving
i have it mounted to the underbody with self drilling screws under the seat, with some spacers make up the difference for the unevenness? of the floor.
