The largest cooler you can fit practically is what you want.

I use the B&M cooler 70266. It is a 28,000 GVW and works great.

The numbers are GVW, which stands for gross vehicle weight. The larger ones are actually made for motor homes. But they work perfectly for high stalled cars. I would seriously get the biggest you can find. Just make sure that it will fit where you want to put it. I put a 28K gvw in my car.

Get a Perma Cool with a 900 cfm fan. That will do the trick.

The cooler temps and longer warm up time will not hurt anything , The PCM monitors fuild temperature and modifes the presure and shift quaility accordingly. As far as the added warm up time from the PCM perspective your drivng in alaska lol and its just takes a bit longer to get warm , It dosent know the difference.

i have no front grill, bumper support, or A/C... i'm mounting mine right in front of the passenger side hole in the bumper cover - straight shot for plenty of air to move through it.

The B&M 70266 is 11x8x1.5"

Most of the hardcore drag racers like me remove the A/C and put the trans cooler right where the condensor used to be. It fits perfectly in there and gets plenty of air to it.

Do you guys run through the stock cooler first? Simply physics says it's best to go:
Tranny -> stock cooler -> aftermarket cooler -> tranny

But there's always some wannabe genius who doesn't understand the air/water, air/air efficiencies, and says to avoid the stock cooler. But that makes no sense. When sitting still in traffic, I want the air/water cooler's help for sure.

yea - the instructions tell you to use the factory cooler in series with the B&M unit. i installed mine yesterday - it was very easy.

i used a couple self tapping screws into the lip of the radiator support. it's pretty sturdy there, and gets plenty of air through the front bumper cover.
