physical differences- 700r4/4l60e hey everybody. im swapping my 4l60e into my 86 monte and i need a new crossmember. i came across the jegs "jegster" crossmember. its made for 700r4's in g bodys (montes, regals, etc). from what i think i know, the 700r4 and a 1996 4l60e are phsyically the same. the jegs rep says that it will only work if the 4l60 is a pre-96 tranny, but i thought they were the same until 1997? anybody know? thanks a lot guys

really appreciate it man. its from a 96 fleetwood, would you happen to know if that would be the non removable bellhousing? exactly how would i be able to tell if its a removable bellhousing?
