Default What stall for TH350?

Mods are ms3, 3.42's, ls6 intake, all bolt ons, 100 shot. Car has built th350 with stock gearing. I bought a ptc converter, told them the mods and they built me a 3600. This thing is a turd on motor and bottle(1.68 60ft) at the track, but hauls *** on the hwy. I know the car needs more gear but I know the converter needs to be restalled. Does anyone have anything similar that can help, i'm leaning to have it redone to a 4200 and then 4.10's?

Gearing will help out alot. The TH350 has a high first gear.

When choosing components like converters, camshafts and gears they must be chosen as a total package if you are looking for specific results, ie... 60' times, DD driveability, fuel mileage or what ever it is that you are looking for specifically.

Indeed from what you have posted, if you are looking for better 60' times then you will want to change the gear ratio at this point. I would suggest that the converter restall is only going to leave you dissatisfied. With N2O you are going to want a "tighter" converter generally speaking. I know that it is only a 100 shot, but that power adder does push the stall and can cause you to "blow through" the converter.

By virtue of changing the transmission you have raised the 1st gear ratio. I think if you were to go to a 3.7x,3.9x or a 4.10 ratio you would see improved 60' times.

What suspension/tire setup are you running? That is the other half of the equation. Might also want to try the drag racing tech section.

The car is a 26x10 slick and the suspension is stock. I let them know exactly what mods I had thinking they would pick the one I needed.

Thanks guys

no lca's, torque arm, relocation brackets, or shocks will definitely not help the 60' which I'm sure you know. Does the car weight transfer? What is the raceweight? What does the verter stall to on the hit?

I forgot it has hal's all the way around, so it does have weight transfer. It's almost a full weight car with me 230lbs so it's heavy. I don't remember right off the top of my head what it stall's to.
