Having one of your 9.5" units prior to seeing this list you say that the STR on my 4000 stall is 1.69.
I had a 3500 stall with a 2.5 STR and just driving around town it feels just as tight as my old one. Interesting.
1.69 seems awefully low. I cannot even find another manufacturer offering one that low.
It seems like a good tight converter for it's size though.

In our previous converters that was the aprox STR however it did vary some with different stall speeds. but all our the lower STR converter tend to have a tighter feel as the torque multiplication is spread over a larger RPM range. So a higher stall with a lower STR might feel as tight as a lower stall with a higher STR there is some explanation of this on the page and how it works. Theres also a good write up on it from yank I copied and pasted in the converter faq thread here.
