I would suggest that a TH400 would be your best be for driveability. There are going to be times when you wished you had that extra 3rd gear.... although they both have a final 1:1 ratio.
I guess it has alot to do with preference.. a 400 is the way I would go if it were me.

My Dad's Chevy II has a 5000 converter and glide with a brake and it's been street driven on the weekends for 10+ years with no problems. I'm not talking daily driving, I don't understand people saying you can't run the glide on the street. A buddy of mine had a 10 second street car with BBC and glide that he drove all the time, even on the interstate. He'd drive that car anywhere and never had any problems.

It should be easier in theory because it has less first gear ratio. Mine is fine on the street, why wouldn't it be? In traffic you use first and when cruising you use 2nd...From a 50mph roll, there's no need to downshift either, just lay into it and let the converter eat. Run a tight converter for big nitrous hits obviously. It will also keep heat down with less slippage. It may be slower on motor because of your nitrous matched converter and gearing. 2 kicks in the nuts while on motor.
On the highway with 3.73's and 28" tires...70mph is not too bad but you will not be cruising tamely at 85mph...haha

I checked the car, it weighs 3600lbs race weight, not 3400lb. I have 4.10 and 4.30's but can put whatever needed in. Im also running a 28in tire and have between 600-700hp on the bottle. I plan on building a good motor within a year and should be 800-1000hp on nitrous. Once I have the new motor Im going to try to get the car down to 3,000lb.
With all that being said, I dont want to have to re-do the car for the new motor. With my current setup, can I run a glide and t-brake? What size stall and gears should I go with?

Not to sure about the flywheel for the LS1, that might have to get changed out, the LT1's are fine. The converter has to be changed out, the glides uses either the converted Turbo shaft or the powerglide shaft. The Turbo shafts are stronger.
Here is a little article that I wrote up.
