Transmission temp guage sender should be located in the pan.

Engine oil temp should be near the filter area...I think. Send a p.m. to "1970 Judge" at Xtereme Horsepower, he'll know.

The Pan is the ideal spot to get a good average temp . The presure port can be used to but the temp may appear a bit higher than it is I have seen 20 degrees difference between those two positions.

TAwhore, are you using their single or dual version Interceptor? If it hadn't been for the high price $239/$399 a lot more people would have installed it in their vehicles.

Are you using it for anything else besides just the temp read-outs?

sorry for hijacking...

i'm using a single gauge...it can display to parameters at once

i'm using it for: IAT, MPG, Coolant Temp. Tranny temp. fuel lvl.

other uses that i haven't used yet (some i hopefully won't need) obd2 diagonstics, 1/4 mile performance, misfires, maf signals, LFT, SFT ect.

basicly eveything a obd2 can scan for on any car

also you could hook up a wide band or boost sensor to the little thing.

not to bad for 200 bucks or so

Even if this is the case, then at least it's a higher readout and not a lower... so hell it kinda even gives you a buffer. For people strictly using it was a warning device.
