Default c5 tranny removal? any tips?

I will be removing the transmission from my c5 2000 corvette. I have been searching for any useful info that would make the removal and re-installation go smooth. And tips or ideas from anyone is greatly appreciated. If anyone has any web sites with any pictures or step by step would awesome as well. At this point im happy with anything.

no prob bro.
cajun is a great guy/owner. good info.
dope's write is sweet. (save as word doc)
you can bypass the removal of the torque tube stuff since your an auto.
just look at the pics i posted and you can see where i pulled the trans off the torque tube,
dont forget to remove the 3 verter bolts (thru the window) and you'll be good to go.

peace,
good luck.

Just finished up removal of the trans! WOW the fluid is absolutely trashed burnt and nasty smelling. For being a 4 mile drive home, it sure went to **** in a hurry! Im debating on a stall converter since i have it all apart now. Any opinions? I cant afford much at this point but its easier and less expensive since im already into it. Looking for one if anyone has one they would like to sell.

thanks
Jeff
