A shift kit is not really intended to drop times. It is intended to firm up shifts, make them faster, etc.
But it is the best investment you can make on the trans, barring a complete rebuild, IMO.

That would depend on the performance of your transmission in it's current condition !! A shift kit will improve shift timing and and durability , but you shouldn't expect much of a difference at the track with only that modification !!!

I agree, unless you are having long drawn out shifts, then the shift kit will only help improve the life of the unit and not the times in the majority of cases.
