Default EndPlay and Band selection

So I'm tearing down my tranny again and were going to replace then band and I was wondering if a Kevlar band would be good and what kind of endplay I'm looking for up front. The guy I bought my parts from said .010" is all i need, my builder thinks this is crazy, again he doesn't have much experience with high hp applications.

I would concur on the kevlar band I dont care for them they one dont grab quickly enough during the apply, Wear in is very slow. and they are hard on the drum. They withstand heat actualy better than the drum does which is not nessesarily a good thing a good thing. I like the red lined and the composite bands myself.
