Well not knowing what kind of transmission I am talking about.......... the 1st thing to know I suppose is what is your transmssions fluid condition? How old is the fluid / filter?

right around 20 to 40 mph.. from a stop it does fine and around 50 and up it does fine.. i was driving it today and it seemed to help if i put it in 3 instead of D.. if your driving around town at about 30 and about 1500 to 2000rpms shouldnt the rpms just up to 4500 to 5000 real quick when you floor it

Thanks for the details.
How long have you had your mail order tune loaded?
Be sure to check the TPS or have it checked.
Are you giving it maximum 100% WOT and it still will not downshift? Sounds like it. It should initiate a 3/2 downshift, and it sounds like it is not. Have that solenoid inspected for proper operation. I have found over the years that the electro-mechanical part is a very likely culprit.
Also, can you feel the torque converter unlock at say over 45 MPH when you are accelerating form a steady cruise? Just curious....

While it could be the tune if its been working ok for a year its not likley , I would look at the data signals from the TPS,MAF with a scanner and see if they are giving proper readings. You dont have to set a code for a sensor to be off , Codes only set if the sensor is out of its entire range

I agree, not likely to be the tune.
Sounds like the 3/2 solenoid to me, it could be staying in lock up under moderate acceleration though..... get a scanner on it and watch what is happening!
