turbo 350 help plz!!!
im building a turbo 408 for my ta.. plan on making 1000 hp to the ground. can i build up a turbo 350 enough to hold the power or should i use another tranny?

Any particular reason you are going with a 3 speed?
A 4L80E is a fine choice for that combination, you would have to try awful hard to break it.
It would provide you with the same driveability of your 4L60E if computer controlled. But, if that is not what you are looking for then just make it a Manually shifted unit!
Just a suggestion.

the car is gonna be mostly a track car.. driven only a few times a month to car shows.. its was a 6 speed car. i dont know what tranny im goin with but seemed like a turbo 350 would be a good choice. im open to any suggestions. rember the car is gonna make 1000+ to the ground. gt-55 turbo on a 408 with 20-22 lbs of boost. thx for your help

A TH350 would be pushed to the edge at that sort of power level... it would have to be beefed up, alot.
A TH400 would need mods as well to handle that power level, that being said, any unit would need to be significantly nodified to handle it.
As previously mentioned a Powerglide would be a terrific option, as would a TH400 or a 4L80E. It really depends on your preferences.
