Best Glide builder for a 2900lb car with 1300FWHP and stock PG case?
As a future project I will be doing a 364ci (LS2 block/LS1 crank/forged guts/AFR225's/LS6intake), ST80 turbo, glide with JW bellhousing (thx KP!), 3:07 Viper diff with IRS, and 2900lb total weight FD RX-7.
Who would you recommend to build a suitable Powerglide to handle 1300fwhp?
I have an Art Carr (the real one) 8" 4K stall convertor with upgraded input shaft based upon a 750fwhp engine. I'm sure with this new combo this convertor will stall much higher.
I would prefer West Coast builders... but beggars can't be choosers.....
I want to stay above the 8.50 index for simplicity and also my kahone level. I have another FD already here in the garage prepped for the knife and this project.

I would be happy to work that build with you.
Give us a call, speak to John or myself and we can get you a quote. Building Glides for that power level is not too difficult, but it really depends on your budget and what parts we decide to go with..... many low gear planet ratios to consider, several pump / input shaft combos, do you want it to be roller or not, etc....
Good Luck either way, sounds like a fun car shaping up!
