What cooler and how many?
Yank SS4000 is on it's way. What transission cooler should I go with and how many should I put on?
I am not running a gauge because I don't want to, so I want to be safe and know my tranny is not cooking.
Thanks,
CL

There is some talk that the tube & fin coolers do not work. As I have been building transmissions for about 30 years now, heat problems have never been an issue when using the radiator and tube & fin style coolers, or just tube & fin coolers only. I would say that they are a good choice. If these were a problem, I would have seen this many years ago. Are the stacked plate coolers any better? If you do not have the room for the tube and firn style, then you will need to use the stacked plate cooler. As far I have seen from comparison tests that customers have given me feed back on over the years....... no measureable difference. I like how the tube & fin now are supposedly no good, did not work, thay act as a heater, etc. What marketing nonsense. Remember, change in itself is not always a good thing.
