TH400 will bolt up.

TH400-Drag/Limited Local Driving, Stronger than 4L60E BUT lacks overdrive
$l60E-Local/Daily Driving, Weaker than TH400 AND has overdrive

One thing to remember the TH400 is a lot cheaper to rebuild if it breaks

A TH400 would be a good choice for that setup as the torque produced by the TT LSx engine will be more than you would want to put through the 4L60 (700R4) for much time at all. It could easily be a high maintenance situation with the 4L60.

The 400 could take that punishment easily if it is well built. But on the other hand, if you were wanting to preserve driveability in the interest of building a street beast the 4L80E would be just the unit. It is based on the TH400 and is an Overdrive unit. It would need it's own stand alone controller, can be outfitted with a trans brake for spooling at the line and would give you the performance you are looking for I believe.

If you would like to learn more about any of those trannies just pick up the phone and give us a call... we could help you understand the pros and cons of each unit! We help customers plan their hot rod builds every day.

Hope that helps!
