You can pick one up a your local GM dealer and you will be ok for short jaunts around town but not to drive for any exstended time on the highway as the trans will ovrheat without lockup Unless you have alot of cooling capacity.

Unless someone has built the trans and put the clip in wrong no you should be able to just drop the pan and change it without dropping the valve body. And yes likley that will fix you.

Sounds like they sent you the wrong solenoid , That sounds like a 1-2 or 2-3 shift solenoid

The pwm (lockup feel) solenoid is the gray solenoid on the passenger side front of the valve body if you were underneath the car. Borg Warner has new solenoids out that are no longer gray just so you know. If you get one of these do not be alarmed. We do stock new solenoids because we use them on every unit that we build. Let us know if you need one. I personally think that you might have another issue but replacing the solenoid is the easiest thing to do. Let us know how it goes. Vince

Give us a call tomorrow. With a next day air charge it is not going to be cheap. You might want to try a dealership or a local trans shop but I do have them. I would also check all of your fuses. We had a customer that recently had the same code that you have and found some bad fuses. Last I heard he was working on it. Here is a link to his thread. https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic-transmission/749840-whats-all-need-repair-codes-thrown.html

solenoid fixed theproblem. but some how i broke the little rod that makes it shiftgears, so i made one out of some thin metal rod i had but i made it a little short so i cant select 1st gear and its a little tricky getting into overdrive, you have to almost pull it down to 3rd and then put it into overdrive and its fine..so i guess the pan needs to comedown again

If you broke the rod that goes between the manual valve and the rooster cone get the right one! This is very critical.
